Three Years of Partnership with Bynder

When a project evolves into a three-year partnership, you know something special is happening. Our collaboration with Bynder demonstrates how technical expertise, cultural alignment and genuine partnership create lasting value that goes far beyond initial project goals.

From Migration Challenge to Strategic Partnership

In October 2022, 4 levi niners joined Bynder’s Data Engineering team to support the development of a modern data architecture. What started as extended capacity quickly revealed opportunities for deeper transformation.

The initial challenge was a Sisense migration. Through joint research and PoC, Snowflake emerged as the ideal foundation for the new data infrastructure. The implementation was executed successfully, earning recognition from Snowflake’s Solution Architect who praised the teams as “competent, experienced and enthusiastic professionals, who eat milestones for breakfast and sprint over deadlines like it’s nobody’s business.”

Building a Modern Data Platform

The successful migration was just the beginning. Orchestration, monitoring and observability became streamlined and dependable. The Data Engineering team’s role expanded into a full Data Platform team, designing reusable tooling for analytics teams. Currently, the team is working on its most recent initiative: introducing a Data Mesh approach that will enable domain owners to build and own their data products.

Cross-Border Collaboration That Works

True partnership transcends geography. When Bynder’s Data Platform operations transitioned from the Netherlands to Barcelona, our collaboration only strengthened. We actively supported hiring efforts in Spain, helping build a balanced team of highly skilled Data Engineers across both organizations.

Today, our integrated team operates seamlessly across Serbia, Spain and the Netherlands. It is a genuine peer-to-peer collaboration where geography becomes irrelevant.

The Levi9 Difference

This partnership exemplifies how we approach client engagement. Our technical excellence in modern data platforms, cloud technologies and data engineering goes hand-in-hand with strategic thinking – we don’t just execute projects, we help shape long-term technical vision and architecture. Cultural alignment matters to us, which is why we integrate with client teams as true partners, not just vendors. We believe in continuous evolution, growing with our clients and adapting to changing needs organically. And we do it all through seamless global delivery across countries and time zones.

Culture as a Competitive Advantage

Technical excellence matters, but so does how teams work together. Throughout these three years, the collaboration became more than just professional. Our partnership with Bynder evolved into something that satisfaction surveys consistently reflected – everyone genuinely enjoys working together.

A pub quiz in the Netherlands, conducted entirely in Dutch with questions bouncing between three languages, sparked a tradition of quizzes that continues today for both client visits and internal activities.

The team held retrospectives on Belgrade’s historic Kalemegdan Fortress, where two rivers meet. There was the team trip to Divčibare, where mountain air, shared burek and a bit of rakija turned colleagues into friends. In Barcelona, the team dined at the very table where legendary soprano Montserrat Caballé once sat, experiencing Catalan specialties and culture together.

The team placed third at the Bynder 2025 Hackathon and attended PyCon 2023 conference in Prague together. They continue to name sprints after Catalan and Serbian words (and occasionally after teammates) and celebrate birthdays with serenades and tambourines. These aren’t just team-building activities, they’re proof that strong engineering culture drives better technical outcomes.

Collab that Successfully Continues

This initial project has evolved into an ongoing partnership focused on data innovation, platform excellence and continuous improvement. As data volumes grow and business needs evolve, our joint team continues pushing boundaries and exploring new possibilities. The best chapters, as they say, are yet to be written.
