Levi9 Featured in PC Press Monography “Our 30” – A Tribute to Three Decades of Digital Evolution in Serbia

To mark the 30th anniversary of PC Press, one of Serbia’s most influential technology magazines, a publication titled “Our 30 – Technology, People, and Visions” has been released.

This 472-page full-color monograph is not just a look back at the development of tech in Serbia, it’s a tribute to the pioneers, the first modems and CD-ROMs, the early online experiments, and the spirit of curiosity that defined an entire era.

The book brings to life the early days of the digital revolution in Serbia, the excitement of turning on a computer for the first time, the dial-up sounds of early internet connections, and the tools and platforms that helped shape a generation of professionals and enthusiasts.  It includes stories of milestone projects such as Serbia’s first book on the Internet bundled with a CD-ROM, the creation of an original Web crawler before Google, and the opening of the PC Museum.

It is a vibrant archive of people, moments, and innovations that shaped the regional IT landscape.

Levi9: Two Decades of Innovation and Local Impact

As a long-standing partner of the local tech ecosystem, Levi9 is honored to be featured in this special publication, celebrating its own milestone: 20 years of business operations in Serbia.

The article dedicated to Levi9 offers a retrospective of the company’s journey, from its foundation in Novi Sad in 2005 to becoming a key player in Serbia’s IT scene, with 2 Delivery centers and 3 offices in Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, and Belgrade. It highlights our early adoption of remote working models, investment in talent through initiatives like Code9 and Lead9, the launch of 9Inspiration tech conference, and the continuous growth of our internal learning culture through the Levi9 Academy and expert communities.

“In its early years, Levi9 played a pivotal role in shaping the IT industry in Serbia, laying the foundation for further development of the local market. Our commitment to innovation and talent development enabled us to create a visible impact and become a significant player in the global IT ecosystem. The culture of collaboration we fostered inspired other companies to adopt similar best practices, further strengthening the national tech landscape.” – Viktor Kovač, Director of Delivery Centers in Novi Sad.

From our first hackathons and student programs to building long-term partnerships and adjusting to global trends like AI and hybrid work, the monograph captures Levi9’s unique approach to growth and community impact over the past two decades.

“From the very beginning, Levi9 recognized the importance of structured project management in delivering high-quality software solutions. Twenty years ago, we implemented PRINCE2 as one of the leading methodologies in the industry. Over time, we embraced agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban, allowing us to become more flexible and responsive to client needs. Today, we tailor our approach to each project – combining agile methods with project management practices depending on context and goals. There’s no one-size-fits-all solution, and that mindset is what keeps our delivery strong and adaptable.” shares Jelena Kutlača Milošević, Delivery manager who is part of Levi9 since the first company days.
