How AI Took Over Tuesdays at Levi9 – The Story Behind TuesdAI Workshops

TuesdAI is a hands-on workshop held every Tuesday at the Levi9 Delivery Center in Belgrade, designed to make AI a practical, everyday tool for our teams. Each session focuses on specific tools, trending topics, and real-world skills that participants can apply immediately. It’s an open space where levi niners learn, experiment, and grow – all in an interactive environment that encourages on-the-fly idea sharing.

From Internal Experiment to a Knowledge-Driven Community

TuesdAI didn’t come from a top-down initiative. It all started with a curious team exploring how AI could enhance the development process. In August 2024, the AI Tooling team was formed with a mission to test out various AI tools and assess their potential impact on daily work.

After months of exploration, the team presented their first findings during an internal eMeet – and the response was overwhelming. Curiosity sparked across the office, and the message was clear: people wanted more tools, more use cases, and more AI.

And so, TuesdAI was born – starting small and gradually growing into a popular weekly event with more participants, more depth, and more energy.

Who’s Behind the Movement?

The initiative began with the original AI Tooling team: Gordana Gardić, Simona Rilak, Milica Klarić, Nevena Soldat, Mirjana Stanojević-Ćurčić, Stefan Vučan, Dejan Rošulj, and Mirko Tomić, led by Marko Milošević and Jelena Milić. Over time, the team evolved, but the workshops remained a fixed point on the Levi9 calendar.

Today, the sessions are driven by members of the Competence Development team – a rebranded version of the original AI team – now focused not just on AI, but also on strategic competencies like Snowflake, Data, and Python. Colleagues from commercial projects often join in, sharing their own experiences and contributing as excellent guest speakers.

AI in Practice – Not Just on Paper

What makes TuesdAI stand out is its practicality. AI is evolving rapidly – a tool you used last week might already have a new version today. That’s why workshops are held every Tuesday, always offering something fresh and relevant.

Participants test tools live, explore ways to integrate them into real projects, and build on top of internal apps like MentorMatch, Who’s in 9, and Events9.

At the same time, members of the Competence Development team are working toward certifications (AWS, GCP, Snowflake…) – further deepening the knowledge they bring to these sessions.

Feedback That Fuels the Future

After every session, participants leave comments, suggestions, and ideas for upcoming topics. This feedback loop is what keeps TuesdAI so relevant – the community shapes its direction. The topics come straight from the people who use the tools and want to understand them better.

We started with hands-on tool sessions, like Cursor and v0, where participants tried new features on the spot. We’ve also covered AI in cybersecurity, how AI can improve writing Jira tickets and organizing team workflows, and explored tools like Levin for app development and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for understanding new AI protocols. We even hosted a Vibe Coding session – designed especially for non-technical teams.

TuesdAI is a living lab where AI is tested, applied, and embedded into our daily work. Every session brings us closer to building a community of levi niners who not only follow AI trends – they help shape them.

Will Tuesdays at the Levi9 Belgrade office ever be just another regular Tuesday again? We don’t think so.
